The above tutorial videos provide a quick explanation of the primary activities and additional resources in each Box. Each video is approximately 10 minutes long. (Bones and Muscles Box Tutorial Video coming soon!)

Each box contains an assortment of items about science, health topics and careers including:
  • small group activities for students
  • hands-on, topic specific artifacts
  • films and books
  • lesson extensions

These curricula encourage explorations in science and health, are student centered and aligned with Oregon Content Standards for grades 4-8.

Oregon Contents Standards covered by each "Box".

If possible, arrangements will be made for a local health care professional to visit the classroom during the loan period to talk with students about his/her career.

In-A-Box is sponsored by the Oregon Area Health Education Centers (AHEC), the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) and Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU).
