Brain Awareness is a teacher workshop held in the auditorium at Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU) each spring. Oregon AHEC works in partnership with the Office of Science Education Opportunities at OHSU to broadcast this lecture to various sites around the state, enabling teachers from our rural communities to attend.
Brain Awareness provides participants the chance to learn about the latest research breakthroughs on the brain and practical implications of this research, as well as an opportunity to ask questions of the scientist(s) involved in these discoveries.
This workshop is held on a Saturday in either January or February of each year. Participants will be awarded three (3) Professional Development units from the Office of Science Education Opportunities (SEO).
