is an Oregon Health & Science University third year medical student on rotation at Curry General Hospital with Dr. Luther Ward.
Colin currently lives in Portland. He has served previous clerkships in family medicine, psychiatry, surgery and OB/GYN, plastic surgery and pediatrics.
When asked what he would like to accomplish on this rural rotation, Colin stated, "learning more about how health care is managed in a rural area, particularly trauma and advanced care".
Outside of medicine, Colin enjoys backcountry skiing.
Medical students are sponsored by Area Health Education Center (AHEC) of Southwest Oregon. AHEC provides a stipend for gas and housing for the students while they are serving their 5-week rotation.

Maliheh currently lives in Portland. She has already served previous clerkships in psychiatry, family medicine, OB/GYN, surgery and pediatrics.
When asked what she would like to accomplish on this rural rotation, Maliheh stated "better understanding of health care issues/needs specific to rural populations; better understanding of resources available to patients and providers in rural areas; and hands-on practice! – procedures, history taking, making assessments and plans".
Outside of medicine, Maliheh enjoys soccer, sewing and reading.

Lauren currently lives in Portland. She has already served previous clerkships in psychiatry, family medicine, OB/GYN, surgery, plastic surgery, and pediatrics.
When asked what she would like to accomplish on this rural rotation, Lauren stated "I am particularly interested in rural surgery and would like to explore opportunities in this field if available; learning about the resources available to smaller communities and what their unique challenges are; and improve overall history and physical exam skills".
Outside of medicine, Lauren enjoys dressage training and competition (equestrian), backpacking, hiking, running, traveling, leisurely reading, baking and jewelry making.
