
MEDSTARS WAS A RESIDENTIAL SUMMER EXPERIENCE JULY 15-19, 2003 at OREGON HEALTH & SCIENCE UNIVERSIT
This program is designed to help high school students learn how to pursue a health care career. The Area Health Education Centers Program sponsors the MedStars Health Careers Honors Program.

The students were chosen based on health careers discovery experience, GPA, and instructor recommendations. Moreover, two students engaged in health careers training; Jaime Baslee at Umpqua Community College and Monica Salazar at the University Oregon were chosen as counselors and mentors to the MedStars students.
