Area Health Education Center of Southwest Oregon achieves its mission in several ways:

AHEC-SW focuses its resources on the healthcare needs of rural and underserved populations.
AHEC-SW organizes and coordinates training opportunities for rural healthcare providers to enable clinicians to keep abreast of emerging issues.
AHEC-SW places healthcare students in rural clinical rotation to motivate tomorrow's providers to start practices in rural Oregon.
AHEC-SW encourages youth to pursue a career in healthcare.
AHEC-SW collaborates with rural communities in securing grants to help respond to the healthcare needs of the region.
AHEC-SW is guided by a Board of Directors consisting of representatives from the six counties we serve.
