Brain Awareness Teacher Workshop 2012

On Saturday, January 21, 2012, educators and other interested health care professionals across Oregon were able to attend Brain Awareness 2012, which featured a presentation given by Dr. Gary Wenk, Ph.D. The Workshop was broadcast to remote sites from the campus of OHSU in Portland to the following:

Mercy Medical Center, Roseburg
South Coast ESD, Coos Bay
Lane Community College, Florence Campus, Florence

Dr. Wenk will speak on "FOOD FOR THOUGHT: How Diet Influences Brain Health".  Dr. Wenk is a Professor of Psychology, Neuroscience, Molecular Virology, Immunology and Medical Genetics in the Department of Psychology at Ohio State University.  You can learn more about Dr. Wenk's work at http://faculty.psy.ohio-state.edu/wenk/.  

In all we had a success turnout this year, with 66 total attendees from all three sites, despite inclement weather in some places.
